Decided with you
ADHD medication options fall into two groups: stimulants and non-stimulants. Both are managed at this practice, and the choice is made with Nicole after your evaluation, based on your history and how you respond.
Stimulants are the medications most often used for adult ADHD. The National Institute of Mental Health explains that stimulants increase alertness, attention and energy, and that they are safe when taken under a health care provider's supervision and used as directed. Because they can also raise blood pressure and heart rate, your medical history is part of the decision.
Non-stimulant medication is an option when a stimulant isn't a good fit for you. Finding the right medication and dose can take a few adjustments, which is why follow-ups are monthly at the start.
This page is general information, not medical advice. All treatments are subject to clinical evaluation and provider discretion, and results vary by individual.
A predictable schedule
The ADHD medication follow-up schedule is monthly for your first 3 months, then every 90 days once you're stable. A medication change adds one 30-day check-in.
Monthly follow-ups through your first 3 months while we dial things in.
Then just once every 90 days to stay on track, with direct messaging anytime in between.
If we adjust your medication, a 30-day check-in is required, then you're back to the every-90-day schedule.
Less chasing
ADHD medication refills and pharmacy coordination are handled as part of your care, so you are not making phone calls between a clinic and a pharmacy. Stimulants are sent to your pharmacy of choice.
Filling stimulant prescriptions has been hard for many adults. In a national CDC survey, 71.5% of adults taking a stimulant for ADHD reported difficulty getting a prescription filled in the previous 12 months because the medication was not available.
Rules for controlled ADHD medication apply to every patient who is prescribed a stimulant. They come from federal DEA regulations and state law.
Tell us early
ADHD medication side effects are one of the main reasons follow-ups are monthly at the start. The National Institute of Mental Health notes that most side effects of stimulants are minor and are not seen at low doses.
Tell Nicole about anything you notice. You have direct messaging access to her, and if something isn't working, we adjust quickly: different medication, dose, or approach. Share your medical history and your current medications and supplements at your evaluation, since stimulants can raise blood pressure and heart rate.
Messaging is for non-emergency questions. For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Already diagnosed?
Transferring ADHD medication management from another provider starts with a new patient evaluation, even if you already have a diagnosis and a prescription. It is one flat $350 fee, whether you've been diagnosed before or not.
The Clarity Protocol is built for adults newly diagnosed, or who've never had it managed right. Bring your current medication list to that visit. The first 3 months of monthly follow-ups are where the plan gets dialed in. Here is what the first visit covers.
Two ways to pay
ADHD medication management cost is $149 a month on the Clarity Protocol, or $250 per follow-up visit if you'd rather pay as you go. Every new patient starts with a $350 evaluation.
| Option | Price | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| The Clarity Protocol | $149/mo | Everything bundled into one predictable payment. Month to month: start or stop whenever. |
| Pay per visit | $250 each follow-up | You pay only for the visits you actually need. No monthly commitment, no protocol required. |
| New patient evaluation | $350 | One time, for every new patient. |
Prescriptions are filled at your pharmacy of choice. We do not bill insurance. See pricing for every track.
